NKRI  Fail, Eastern Indonesia Select Federation
Association of Eastern Indonesia (AEI- PIT- Persatuan Indonesia Timur ) will hold a congress to discuss the Republic of Indonesia (Republic of Indonesia) or the federation towards a better Indonesia in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on May 20.

The congress will be attended by participants from 15 provinces.

Perhimpunan Indonesia Timur (PIT) akan menggelar kongres untuk membahas Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) atau federasi menuju Indonesia yang lebih baik di Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, pada 20 Mei mendatang.

Pembahasan NKRI tersebut karena sistem ini dinilai telah gagal, tak mampu mewujudkan kesejahteraan rakyat. Sebaliknya yang terjadi adalah ketimpangan sosial, sehingga masyarakat Indonesia Timur khususnya dari Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) dipersepsikan sebagai preman, anarkhis, dan itu diperkuat dengan simbol John Key, Hercules, Sangaji, dan lain-lain.

Demikian disampaikan tokoh PIT yang juga Wakil Ketua DPD RI Laode Ida bersama Muhammad Syukur Mandar, Hatta Taliwang, Benny Matindas, Robert B. Keytimu, HAR Maklin, Boy Simpotan, Petrus Selestinus, Franky Maramis, Mikel Manufandu, Basri Amin, Julis Bobo, Roy Simbiak, dan Jefry di Gedung DPR RI Jakarta, Rabu (20/3).

Kongres ini akan dihadiri peserta dari 15 provinsi.

“Padahal kesan buruk terhadap masyarakat Indonesia Timur tersebut akibat kemiskinan dan ketimpangan sosial akibat kebijakan negara tidak berpihak pada rakyat. Jadi, selama ini pemerintah telah gagal membangun Indonesia yang berkeadilan, sehingga kasus anarkhisme masyarakat itu tak boleh terus-menerus dibiarkan. Untuk itulah federasi sebagai alternatif  dan ini bukan makar,” tandas Laode Ida.

NKRI Gagal

Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) yang sudah 68 tahun ini dinilai Syukur sebagai sistem politik yang gagal, karena ketika rakyat membutuhkan negara, negara malah tidak hadir.

Oleh sebab itu, federasi sebagai salah satu alternatif  pengganti NKRI.

“Kalau pun tetap NKRI, maka sistem pengelolaan negara harus diperbaiki. Misalnya, masalah presiden dan wakil dari satu provinsi Jawa Timur, yaitu SBY dan Boediono,” ujarnya.

Menurut Syukur, federasi justru akan memberikan kewenangan lebih besar kepada pemerintah daerah untuk mengelola sumber daya alam (SDA) secara mandiri. Apalagi, SDA di Indonesia Timur sangat potensial dari pertambangan maupun minyak dan gas alamnya.

“Dengan penduduk yang kecil, dan kekayaan alam yang melimpah, seharusnya rakyat Indonesia Timur sejahtera, namun yang terjadi adalah kemiskinan. Inilah yang mesti diperbaiki,” ungkapnya.

Laode Ida dan Syukur membantah kalau kongres ini sengaja dilakukan menjelang Pemilu 2014, karena hal itu sudah dibicarakan sejak reformasi 1998 silam.

“Yang jelas forum ini bukan untuk mendegradasi posisi Indonesia, tapi lebih dimaknai sebagai forum yang memberi artikulasi dan penjabaran lebih komprehensif atas peran Negara dalam memakmurkan rakyatnya untuk memicu semangat nasionalisme baru,” kata Syukur lagi.
